I have always loved travelling and as I grow older I became more conscious of the deeper effects it has on me. I realise how much I discover about myself through travelling and so I decided to create this film sequence to illustrate it.

I first wrote a short piece about how I see travelling as an intimate experience. I wanted the focus to be on the message I was conveying with my words. That’s why I chose to work with simple visuals. I filmed myself making an origami boat as a symbol of travelling and as a metaphor that anything can become a deeper and meaningful journey.

The song I used is from an album called Into The Wild by Eddie Vedder made for a film with the same name. It’s an album that I always listen while travelling as it immerses me into a reflective and hypnotic state of mind.
